I have to remind myself to be patient with urban Moms.


Quite often I'm asked, "Do you do birthday parties?"  Fact is I don't "do" birthday parties.  What I do offer is a great place to bring a birthday party and play paintball.  Maybe I could get some cupcakes and balloons and offer a party package but somehow I see that leading to clown suits and balloon animals and that's just not how I roll.


I also get phone calls from them:

"I'm driving to your place and I'm way out in the woods and I think I might have passed you."

"No, ma'am. Stay on the road you are on. You will see our sign soon."

"Can you give me a landmark. A shopping mall or a restaurant? You must be near something!"

Heavy sigh. I guess forty acres of wooded playing fields doesn't register for everyone.
