Thanks...

"13 Feet Tall" came through with a flurry of comments this weekend. A clear attempt to take command of the top of the "Top Commentator" leader board (Common Tater! Now that's funny.) It's always good to read everyone's thoughts - good or bad (Not so much the indifferent thoughts. (Can you actually read indifferent thoughts? (Are not indifferent thoughts, by definition thoughts that are not expressed? Hmmmmmm?)))

But I digress.

I challenged myself awhile back to post something here everyday - mostly to vent, in part to inform and entertain and largely as a way to add discipline and practice to my writing skills. I've worked myself into a frenzy more than a few times trying to punch through bouts of writer's block. I missed a couple of posts recently. I learned, much to my relief (and small blow to my ego) that the world doesn't stop if I slack off from time to time.

This started out as a private place for me to piss and moan. Now I find myself thrilled to find a new follower or a new comment. You keep me motivated. "And that's a good thing," as my pseudo mother mentor and former prison inmate, Martha Stewart, likes to say.

Take a friend paintballing this next weekend.

I definitely go through ups and downs on my site too. Some weeks I post almost every weekday, then, he next week I post once. I feel like I have some type of bi-polar writers block. Maybe it's affected by the weather or it's aligned with my wifes "mood"?
I think you've done a great job of keeping us entertained daily for the last several month or more. I know I always look forward to seeing some kind of crazy new post from Mick in my RSS feeder on my iGoogle page every morning.
Rants about customers, absurd eBay items, general banter about misc topics, or the occasional tort about your followers. Keep it coming!

We missed you man......and I always enjoy reading your rants even if I dont comment on them. It is just nice to know that someone else in the industry thinks the same way I do.

Thanks for the kind words.

Caleb, forgive me. I'm trying to remember. Is Wolfpack Paintball Team the blog you are referring to?

Illuminati - what part of the biz are you involved in? Where?

Illuminati,  Apr 13, 2010, 10:49:00 AM

A friend/teammate on my Scenario Team owns a paintball field down here in PalmBay Florida, and the rest of us all work for him as referees and building-crew.

I myself am the head ref, and most of us have been working at that field for 7+ years through 3 previous owners.

We have seen almost every bad decision that could be made when running a field, and have watched as every cliche about nooby-players has shown up time and time again........

"It's a small world," they say. It amazes me to this day how common our paintball experiences can be.

Sorry Mick, I didn't read your comment until now. Yes the Wolfpack site is what I was referring to. It's not really a blog like yours. I mostly babble about paintball products to make money using affiliate links and organic search results on Google/Bing/ect. It's not so much a labor of love like you put into your site. Plus, I have very poor writing skills, but, it pays the bills!
