Proper mask care is my question. I currently use warm water to clean my lens and simple green to clean my mask (proto axis/mirror lens) i've also heard that i shouldn't be using any water on my lens, just clean with microfiber. with your years of xp what do you say on the matter?
For years we have hosed off our rental masks and then spritzed the lens and foam with an antibacterial soap, like Dawn detergent. Then we let them air dry. The same mix can be used with toilet paper for quick clean ups. Microfiber is ok till it gets soaked and then it's pretty useless. Get the heavy stuff off and then use the microfiber to bufff the lens.
What you shouldnt use is any type of glass cleaner such as windex. These products are meant for glass and will corrode your lense making it potentially unsafe, water and a cloth to wipe, then a microfibre to detail is what I find works best.
