I use 10 round tubes so it won't work for me, but if I used a pack, I'd definitely be looking at getting one to try it out. It's nice to see someone thinking out of the box.
I general I don't like people using packs at our field. I cringe a little when I see someone going on the field with several pods of paintball on top of the balls in their hopper. I prefer it if people just take a hopper full on the field for a game.
That's interesting about players and packs. I feel the same way when someone asks if I rent packs (which) I don't). They always look at me funny when I tell them our games are set up so that a hopper is just about the right amount.
Seems unnecessary. Specially if you're in a situation where you NEED to load quickly.
Or if you're laying down.
you can load while laying down and load much faster than pods
