And the award goes to...
TechPB put up an interesting post recently. You can see it here - TechPB Awards As the title suggests it's a list of Mike Phillips best of paintball. Mike (The Commander and Chief of TechPB) is a scary guy so I don't like to mess with him but I'm sure he would agree when ever you see a "Best Of" list you have to wonder whose advertising dollar the list is aimed at. (I can say this here cause I'm pretty sure Mike doesn't give a rat's behind about what anybody thinks.)
Advertising dollars would be nice but I don't have to count on it so I would like to propose another list - one in keeping with the "mean and grumpy field and pro shop owner" theme - The Paintball Off Target Awards. I already figured out some categories. There could be a "Near Miss Award" for what ever turns out to be a near miss. Or there could be a "Not Even Close Award" for, well, you know - what ever doesn't even come close. Other categories could include - "Missed By a Mile", "Off Target" or maybe "Fired for Effect" that would be for something that made a lot of noise and, for purposes of this award, never delivered.
I'm just a tiny part of the paintball cosmos so I would need some nominations. You can send them anonomously if you prefer. Or email them. Let me know what you think.
