Looks like something that could be abused after they leave the chrono area. Chrono in at 280fps and then crank it up a couple of turns.
Probably abused by the same kids that would whine when they get hit by a paintball flying at 400fps.

Crank your velocity up at will on the field without tools. Very unsafe!
