Sunday Paintball Funnies...
Paintball sling shot from RAP4. Kinda looks like a BB sling shot. Or a rock, marble, golf ball or small gerbil sling shot.

The mad ramblings of a mean and grumpy paintball field owner.

How do you chronograph that? This reminds me of some of those paintball mines/claymores, how do you control the safe use of them if you can't control their firing FPS?
I think there should be a new rule in paintball that if someone is firing over 300 FPS, they should get tasered. Now that would just be fun to watch.
taser.....hehe hehehe he!
the part that scares me the most is when you look at the website and see what people who bought the slingshot bought along side of it.........Chili-pepper LTL rounds!!!!
Once again Rap4 scares the crap out of me by making this stuff look cool.....
the most frightning part of all of this is that Rap4 keeps selling things that players dont need and pushing them as the "ultimate" in mil-sim....
What scares me the most is that if you go to rap4's website, the other products it says people buy in addition to the sling-shot, is chili-pepper filled Balls.........bet that would be fun to find some guy running around on the field with.....
*chuckle* chili balls...oh me oh my!
If used in a safe an appropriate way, looks like you could do a caveman scenario with everyone sling-equipped. Or "Cowboys and Indians"--half markers, half slings. Ok, ok--that doesn't sound fair, unless perhaps you're doing a historical reenactment. >.>
I have a sling shot at home and have shot paintballs with it. There is no possible way on this planet that you could accurately keep the velocity below 300 FPS. I was being careful and shooting barrels and gallon jugs and the like. From well beyond Mick's 20 foot rule. And it sounded like they were getting hit with a .50 cal rifle round. What ever the velocity was, I know it would be legal anywhere.
Shooting barrels or taking a shot at a squirrel or bird is one thing, but another person... never with a sling shot for me.
My friend's used slingshots at my local field, and in comparison to real paintball markers, the slingshot fires at a much slower velocity.
It makes for a cheap way to have a super light setup for " Snipers " or being sneaky.
The look on peoples faces when they get hit with a slingshot is always priceless..
